Introducing the CSEA Advisory Committee!

CSEA Advisory Committee Mission Statement:

• To provide an avenue for staff to address concerns and promote communication between administration and staff.

• To encourage staff to outreach to all Departments under the DCYF umbrella to further communication and to unite staff.

• To empower staff with the assistance of CSEA to make positive changes for DCYF staff.

• To educate staff as to what CSEA can assist with and to allow your voice to be heard.

The CSEA Advisory Committee has been meeting since January of 2006. We meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month, to discuss issues that are important to DCYF employees. So far our discussions have been centered on coming up with a mission statement, focusing on employee morale and brainstorming regarding employee complaints. Our focus in the next half of the year will be to target a couple of points of interest among employees and come up with an action plan to affect positive change for DCYF employees. All DCYF employees are welcome to participate in these meetings or see a committee member to discuss your ideas. Remember, this is your committee, your Union! Without employee participation, and opinions and concerns where would we be!
